Camp Hope is a 501 (c) 3, non-profit corporation founded in 2007 by William “Mike” White of North Carolina, formerly of Missouri. The goal of Camp Hope is to construct a handicapped accessible lodge where combat wounded veterans may participate in hunting, fishing, canoeing, skeet shooting, hiking and relaxing in a peaceful setting.
Funds shall be solicited in a respectful manner and without pressure. All third parties not directly affiliated with Camp Hope who wish to solicit funds on behalf of the organization must acquire written permission from the Camp Hope Board of Directors prior to beginning any fundraising activities. Any contact with any form of media must be approved by and/or accompanied by the board of directors. All third party fundraisers will be assigned one board member as a point of contact for all matters related to fundraising. A certificate of insurance adding Camp Hope as an additional insured shall be provided for any fundraising events held by third parties. Contributions made to Camp Hope are tax deductible to the fullest and written tax receipts shall be issued for all donations as requested. At the beginning of each calendar year Camp Hope shall provide its donors with written documentation of all tax deductible gifts received during the prior calendar year upon request.
All monetary donations are recorded and deposited according to accounting procedures. All donor-designated restrictions shall be communicated to Camp Hope so that they may be recorded and governed appropriately. All requests for donors to remain anonymous shall be honored by flagging the gift in the donor database as appropriate. All in-kind gifts that are accepted by Camp Hope shall be recorded and acknowledged according to proper accounting procedures
Any information supplied to Camp Hope by donors will be used solely to fulfill their donations and shall not be shared for any reason unless permission is granted by the donor to share such information. All requests to remain anonymous shall be honored. Camp Hope does not sell or share donor lists. Donors who supply Camp Hope with their postal address or email address may be contacted periodically for solicitation purposes and/or with information regarding upcoming events. All donors have the option of being placed on a “once-a-year” mailing list which grants Camp Hope permission to contact them only once per year. Donors may request to be permanently removed from Camp Hope’s mailing list by contacting us via email, phone or postal mail. All requests to be removed from Camp Hope’s mailing list shall be honored. Donors who supply Camp Hope with their telephone number shall only be contacted by telephone regarding donations they have made.
