Ground Breaking
Hello Everyone,
I would like to take this opportunity to say thank you to some special people. I know it has been some time since I have made a post but I have some good news as far as progress. Over the Thanksgiving weekend we had a group of people give up their holiday to start clearing Camp Hope which consists of 5.5 acres. With some hard work and the help of a few area business's such as BOBCAT of St. Louis to make the job go a little easier to clear the land, and Central Stone for helping us with the rock for the roadway through the property, and Jim Wilson, owner of Buccaneer Excavation for hauling the rock for us. Now the hard work that was completed was performed by Eddie Boyer, owner of E.A. Boyer Construction, Jerry Wells Camp Hope Board Member, Corky and Adam Northcutt, John Reando, James Hunot Camp Hope board member, Mike Hunot, and Mr. Hooks. There is no words that can express the gratitude we have for everyone involved that is making this project such a success. All the hard work these volunteers performed shows, in just one weekend it is amazing how much land was cleared and how much of the road they completed. Again a big thank you to all of you for everything you have accomplished and for giving up your time to get it done.

The tour targeted rural towns such as Walgett, Moree, and Kempsey. They acted to publicise acts of blatant discrimination. This was demonstrated through one of the Freedompass4sure 642-415 Ride activities in Walgett. A local RSL club refused entry to Aborigines, including those who were ex-servicemen who participated in the two World Wars. The bus at one stage was run off the road.

Eye opener ...
