Welcome

Camp Hope's July Newsletter is online.

Progress is underway thanks to the generosity of the Eastern Missouri Laborer's District Council and the Laborer's Local 110.

2010 is starting off with a bang at Camp Hope. We are breaking ground on our first cabin.

  • Camp Hope is dedicated to providing the resources for our veterans to again enjoy outdoor activities. There are over 2.3 million disabled veterans in the United States. Each of these soldiers sacrificed more than we will ever know. They should not have to sacrifice their dreams.
  • Camp Hope is a 501 © 3, non-profit corporation founded in 2007 by William “Mike” White of North Carolina. The goal of Camp Hope is to construct a completely handicapped accessible lodge where veterans may participate in hunting, fishing, canoeing, skeet shooting, hiking and relaxing in a peaceful setting.
  • Camp Hope is located in Farmington, Missouri, 80 miles south of St. Louis.
  • The first hunt was held at Camp Hope Veteran’s Day weekend in 2007. The camp hosted three young disabled veterans.

Founders Message

Dear Friend, Veteran, and American Patriot:

On June 20, 2006, our family suffered a great loss. Our son, PFC Christopher N. White, was killed by an IED in Al Anbar Province while protecting our freedom. He and so many of his brothers and sisters in arms have paid the ultimate sacrifice. In his honor and memory, our family has purchased a tract of land that we have named CHRIS NEAL FARM it will be dedicated to those that have paid a very high price for our freedom and our way of life, the disabled American Veterans who have provided us protection from terrorism, oppression and tyranny.

Here at CHRIS NEAL FARM we have dedicated a 5-acre tract of land were we will be constructing a handicapped accessible lodge to accommodate our veterans. We have named this parcel of land CAMP HOPE. Once constructed it will accommodate up to 6 veterans per week and allow them to enjoy outdoor activities once again.

We need help in supporting your men and women in uniform. Your donations will help create cherished moments and help them to a full and speedy recovery.

Thank you,

William White

Mission Statement

Today, there are over 2.3 million disabled veterans in the U.S. These brave men and women have sacrificed much to ensure our safety and freedom. The number of disabled veterans is growing each day as the war on terror continues. All of these veterans had dreams about the future, but many of these dreams were lost due to injuries suffered in the line of duty.
